Oklahoma City School in Quarantine

As many students prepare for summer vacation, a middle school in Oklahoma City was forced to send their students home early because of a high number of COVID-19 cases. , the Oklahoma City Public School District announced on May 17 that Taft Middle School, as well as the Taft 5th Grade Center at Linwood, will be closed for the remainder of the school year.
School officials said that the decision was made in consultation with the Oklahoma City-County Health Department and out of an abundance of caution after a large number of positive COVID-19.
Nine pupils tested positive for COVID-19, according to officials with the Oklahoma City-County Health Department, and 150 people have been quarantined. The health department's epidemiology team was concerned since the pupils with COVID-19 were spread out around the school.
